Why Professional Installation Matters
You can plug a dash cam into a cigarette lighter and call it done. But a proper installation routes all wiring through the headliner and A-pillar so there are no dangling cables, powers the camera directly from the fuse box so parking mode works without draining your battery, and positions the camera correctly behind the rearview mirror so it doesn't obstruct your view.
We work with any vehicle, including convertibles and other vehicles with unique challenges where routing wires cleanly requires extra attention.
Features Available
Front and Rear Coverage
A front-only camera misses rear-end collisions, parking lot incidents, and tailgaters. We install front/rear systems with the rear camera cleanly routed through the vehicle.
Parking Mode
Records when the vehicle is parked and detects impacts or motion. Requires a hardwired connection to a constant power source, which we handle during installation.
GPS Logging
Records speed and location data alongside video. Useful for insurance claims and disputes.
Cloud Access
Some cameras (like the DroneMobile XC-LTE) offer live video streaming and cloud storage accessible from your phone.
Night Vision
Modern cameras use Sony STARVIS sensors that perform significantly better in low light. We'll recommend cameras appropriate for your nighttime driving environment.
Loop Recording
Continuously records and overwrites old footage, so the camera never stops recording due to a full SD card.
Cameras We Carry and Install
We work with several trusted brands: Momento (M8 Max, M8 Pro, M8-FHD), DroneMobile XC-LTE for connected cloud access, Alpine DVR-C320R, and BlackVue for high-end cloud-connected recording. We'll help you choose based on your priorities and budget.
Installation Time and Pricing
Most dash cam installations take one to two hours. Pricing is typically $150 to $350 installed, depending on the camera system and whether front-only or front/rear coverage is needed. Call us for a specific quote for your vehicle.
