Why an Amplifier Matters

Your head unit has a built-in amplifier, but it's small and produces a compromised signal. Aftermarket speakers and subwoofers are designed to operate with dedicated amplification. A properly matched, professionally installed amplifier lowers distortion, increases headroom, and lets your speakers actually perform at their rated capability.

Amplifier installation is more involved than most people expect. It requires running a power cable from the battery, installing proper fusing, routing signal cables away from power cables to prevent noise, and setting gain levels correctly so you're not clipping the signal. We do this every day and take it seriously.

Amplifier Types We Install

Mono Amplifiers

A single-channel amplifier designed specifically for subwoofers. High current output, efficient Class D design. This is what you use when you want to drive a sub properly.

2-Channel Amplifiers

Two channels for powering a pair of speakers or a subwoofer in bridged mode. Great for powering front or rear speakers from a dedicated amp.

4-Channel Amplifiers

Four channels for powering all four door speakers, or two channels bridged for a sub plus two channels for speakers. The most versatile choice for a full system.

5/6-Channel Amplifiers

A combined multi-channel and mono amp in one unit. Power all your speakers and a subwoofer from a single amplifier. Clean installation, less complexity.

DSP Amplifiers

A Digital Signal Processor built into the amplifier. This is where serious car audio tuning happens: time alignment, parametric EQ, crossover control, and output level matching per channel. DSP amplifiers allow us to tune each speaker independently for the actual acoustics of your vehicle interior.

DSP: What It Does

Time alignment compensates for the fact that you're not sitting equidistant from every speaker. Without it, sounds arrive at your ears at different times, smearing the image. A DSP lets us delay each channel so everything arrives simultaneously, dramatically improving soundstage and imaging. Parametric EQ lets us address acoustic problems caused by your vehicle's interior surfaces. If you care about how your system actually sounds, a DSP amp is worth the investment.

Brands We Install

We specialize in Hertz, Audison, and Alpine amplifiers. All three build high-quality, well-engineered products that perform reliably. We'll help you match the right amplifier to your speakers and subwoofer so the system is properly balanced.
